Pea and Eisbein Soup

Overview

Our thick and smoky Pea and Eisbein Soup is a hearty slow cooked rustic meal including shredded smoked pork (eisbein) and both split peas and green peas with a hint of mint.

Ingredients

Onion, Sunflower Oil, Celery, Leek, Split Peas, Smoked Ham Hock, Chicken Stock (homemade), Peas, Smoked Paprika, Salt, Pepper, Dried Mint

Heating Instructions

Defrost and heat gently in a pot until desired temperature is reached. Stirring regularly and adding a little water or milk if too thick.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a dollop of sour cream, crusty bread and sprinkle with mint or chives. Even better serve with our Tapenade Cheese Twists
